Project Background:
This home for a young family with 2 children & a grandparent has 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 2 internal living areas & 2 outdoor alfresco areas. The design contains 3 interconnected zones throughout the living space for the parents, children & a common space for all.
The site orientation is north facing to the street which required design features to protect the north from the rain while still allowing the sun to penetrate deep into the living & dining areas.
